Three thousand students enter a new phase of their lives when they start university today.

Freshers' Week officially opens on campus this morning with an open air Mass followed by speeches from the university rector and the president of the University Students' Council.

Freshers are then free to roam around campus and visit the various student organisations who have set up stands around the university.

The stands are grouped in four categories - the International Village, the dot.org village, the Education Village and the Entertainment Village.

KSU together with 13 other campus-based organisations will organise Frisk, the official Freshers' party, on campus tomorrow.
