There are 314 pending applications for the opening of pharmacies but in terms of the established criteria, the authorities will only consider 10 applications, Health Minister Joseph Cassar said in reply to a parliamentary questions.

He said the opening of new pharmacies will only be considered in Naxxar, San Gwann, Birzebbuga, Kalkara, Marsascala, Marasxlokk, Vittoriosa, Zabbar (2) and Gharb.
