There are 214 licensed pharmacies and 337 pending applications for the opening of new pharmacies. Health Minister Louis Deguara said in parliament. He was replying to a parliamentary question by Adrian Vassallo (MLP).

He said talks are in progress on regulations on the licensing of pharmacies.
