A 40-year old man was hospitalised on Saturday afternoon after crashing a go-kart in the street in Kalkara. 

Police said the Żabbar resident lost control of the kart while driving in Triq Santu Rokku and crashed into a parked trailer. 

He was taken to Mater Dei Hospital to be treated for serious injuries. 

Police investigations are ongoing.
