A total of 676 persons were struck off part one or part two of the employment register between January and July this year.

Education and Employment Minister Louis Galea said 214 were found to be working while registering for work, 279 refused a job and 183 refused a training opportunity. During the same period there were 12,801 people who did not continue registering for work.

The minister was replying to a parliamentary question by Jason Azzopardi (PN).
