A 77-year-old man from Siggiewi was slightly injured in a traffic accident at Valletta Road, Zurrieq, this morning.

The police said the man was driving a Peugeot 306 at about 9 a.m. He t turned to Valletta Road from Triq Guzepp Barbara and crashed into a Toyota Yaris driven by a 27-year-old from Fgura driving on Valletta Road towards Zurrieq.

The 77-year-old had to be taken out of the car by the Civil Protection Department. He was taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance.
