Eighty-six new COVID-19 cases were reported on Tuesday, five more from Monday, but the number of virus patients in hospital remains unchanged at 22, including three in intensive care.

Sixty-two patients recovered overnight, leaving 1,337 active cases, the health authorities said.

The administration of booster jabs has now reached 137,747, which is about a third of Malta's adult population.
