Home Minister Tonio Borg said yesterday that 860 missing items were consigned to the police by the people who found them between January and November last year. The items included 203 documents and 122 wallets and purses.

Other items handed to the police included ammunition and explosives (three instances), three farm animals and 12 pets. Thirty-four items of jewellery were also handed over, the minister told Adrian Vassallo (MLP).
