Malta has paid more than €98 million in interest on government stock, treasury bills and foreign loans between January and June this year, Finance Minister Tonio Fenech said.

Replying to a parliamentary question by Labour MP Anthony Agius Decelis, Mr Fenech said €91 million were paid on government stock, €4 million on treasury bills and €3 million on foreign loans.
