A practical decision

I would like to congratulate Transport Malta and the local police authorities for allowing Victoria’s traffic flow to run smoothly through Vajringa Street notwithstanding the fact that the primary school is located in this central thoroughfare.

Motorists would otherwise obviously bear the brunt of heavy traffic congestions, especially at this time of year when the local traffic problem is exacerbated as a result of the various roadworks that are in progress.

I hope this practical procedure remains in force as it eases considerably the problems that traffic in this city experiences, especially during certain peak hours. On the other hand, the education authorities could also lend a helping hand to ease this problem by allowing the children to enter the school grounds prior to the start of school hours as is normally done in other schools.
