Both Arnold Cassola and Carmel Cacopardo of Alternattiva Demokratika have expressed reservations with regard to joining an alliance headed by the Nationalist Party.
Cassola opined that AD must retain its identity (if ever there was one) while Cacopardo perceives some deficiencies in the PN, ignoring blatantly the many scandals and utter corruption of Labour in government.
To put their minds at rest and in the national interest, they should, perhaps, refrain from taking part in the general election and instruct their followers to vote according to their conscience.
