Actavis has awarded Lisa Warrington a sponsorship to an overseas conference for the best Master of Pharmacy project presentation.
Her presentation, entitled ‘Evaluation requests for advice from community pharmacists’ was one of several conducted at the 2015 pharmacy symposium by final year students reading for an M.Pharm degree at the University of Malta’s Department of Pharmacy.
This year’s symposium, an annual appointment where final year M. Pharm students present their project research and findings, was held at the Aula Magna of the University’s Valletta campus.
The sponsorship was presented by Actavis vice-president Africa Daniel Vella Friggieri at the closing ceremony of the symposium.
All the presentations were assessed by an expert panel for presentation and communication delivery and for credibility and tangibility of research methods and results.
The fifth issue of the Journal of EuroMed Pharmacy (JEMP), sponsored by Actavis, was also distributed during the symposium.
The award and sponsorship are part of a collaborative agreement between Actavis and the department.
