I would like to thank the Mission Fund for the donation of €1,500 that will be used in the building of a social development centre in the village of Lagjja Mirdita in the periphery of the city of Durrës. The Dominicans have been offering their service in this area for the past 15 years.

The small chapel dedicated to St George in the village, which was built with the generosity of the Maltese people, gives us the opportunity to celebrate Sunday Mass and other liturgical celebrations throughout the year.

The local community now needs an appropriate environment where catechism classes and other educational exercises could be held within the broad context of a more complete human formation.

May we take this opportunity to encourage more benefactors to keep sustaining the priceless work carried out by the Mission Fund by sending used stamps and through their support and contributions.
