Fiona-Jayne Formosa has just presented her letters of credence to Turkish President Abdullah Gül as Malta’s non-resident Ambassador to the Republic of Turkey.

Ms Formosa is a career diplomat and currently serves as director of international development, economic affairs and European institutions within the Foreign Affairs Ministry.

Ms Formosa visited Anıtkabir Mausoleum where she laid a wreath of flowers at the monument of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, Turkey’s founder and first president.
