Award-winning architect and journalist Rossana d’Ambrosio, who has been producing and editing the quarterly magazine Vivacemente for kindergarten children since 2002, and subsequently VivacementeDue for primary school children, is the guest speaker at the latest in the Magic Box series of events, which will be held today at the Italian Cultural Institute, Valletta.
The two Vivacemente magazines for children have been widely recognised for their importance and d’Ambrosio has won the Premio Miglior Giornalino per Ragazzi on two occasions: in 2006 for best graphics and in 2008 for her contribution to education in the fields of health and respect for the environment. Vivacemente is sponsored by the city of Turin.
She also publishes VivacementeTre, which deals with the themes of psychophysical health and neuroscience, of interest to adults and the elderly.
In 2004, she began Vivacemente, con il cuore e con la mente, a blog aimed at stimulating creativity and deepening knowledge in a joyful and engaging way. It is a virtual resource with thousands of educational cards, very useful for parents and teachers.
The event will take place today at 6.30pm at the Italian Cultural Institute, St George’s Square, Valletta. Everybody is welcome and entrance is free. After her presentation, D’Ambrosio will be available to answer questions. The evening will end with refreshments.
