Andrew Manduca has been elected to Sparkasse Bank Malta plc’s board of directors as an independent non-executive director.
Mr Manduca was a founder partner of Deloitte Malta, set up in 1980. He led the Deloitte tax practice from 1980 to 2012 and retired as chairman and senior partner of Deloitte Malta in December 2015
He is a former president of the Malta Institute of Accountants and of the Institute of Financial Services Practitioners (IFSP) as well as the first and current president of the Malta branch of the International Fiscal Association. Ever since Malta started its quest to become an international onshore financial centre of repute in the early 1990s, Mr Manduca has represented local practitioners on various committees set up by different administrations to suggest ways to make the jurisdiction more competitive.
