BRINKWORTH. On May 1, DAVID CHARLES aged 69, passed away peacefully at home comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Violet, his children Jonathan, Fiona, Sarah Jane, Andrew and his partner Diane, other relatives and friends.The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 8 a.m. for Mosta parish church, where Mass praesente cadavere will be celebrated at 8.30 a.m. followed by interment at Mosta cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Hospice Malta will be greatly appreciated. The family regret they are unable to receive visitors. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

DEBONO. On May 1, JANE, aged 90, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She joins her husband Jimmy and their sons Maurice and Stephen in eternal rest and leaves to mourn her loss Irene widow of Maurice, Reggie and his wife Apollonia, Thomas and his wife Anna, Pat widow of Stephen, Malcolm and his wife Margaret, Rose and her husband Domenic Pool, Daniel and his partner Angela, Antoinette and her husband John Attard Kingswell, her grandchildren Howard, Johann, Simon, Debbie, Rachel, Duncan, Adrian, James, Fabien, Jean Paul and Amber, their spouses and her much adored great-grandchildren. Mass will be celebrated at Attard parish church tomorrow at 2 p.m. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

FALZON. On May 1, at Mater Dei Hospital, MARIA, of Luqa, widow of Ġużeppi, aged 72, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her son Raymond and his wife Rita, her daughter Glorianne and her husbnad Edward Agius, her grandchildren Francesca and Martina, her brothers and sisters and in-laws and their families, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 3 p.m. for St Andrew parish church, Luqa, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 3.30 p.m. followed by interment in the family grave at Luqa Cemetery. FARRUGIA. On April 30, at Mater Dei Hospital, JOHN, known as Ganton, aged 87, founder of John’s Garage, residing in Ħamrun, passed away peacefully and went to meet the Risen Lord and join his beloved wife Lucia, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his children Anthony, husband of Catherine, Sr Pauline and Sr Marianne (Daughters of the Sacred Heart), Gaetano, husband of Dorothy, Josephine Ciscaldi, wife of Joe, Raymond, husband of Ines, Salvinu, husband of Antoinette, Emmanuel, husband of Valerie, Carmen, member of the Society of Christian Doctrine,Martin, George, husband of Cathy, his grandchildren, great-grand­children, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 1.15 p.m. for St Gajetan parish church, Ħamrun, where Mass praesente cadavere will be celebrated at 2 p.m., followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Mission of the Daughters of the Sacred Heart, Mellieħa, will be greatly appreciated. We thank God for having blessed us with such loving and wonderful parents.

ZAMMIT ENDRICH - IRIS, aged 80, on April 30, loved mother and widow of our beloved Charles, passed peacefully away suddenly, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. Mourning her sad, sorrowful loss her children Anna and Martin, Pierre and Trudy, Kenneth and Alison, George and Maria, her precious and adored grandchildren, Robert and Marie, Steve, Kimberly, Kristina, Lisa, Cecilia, Kurt, Luke, Rebecca, her brothers Lino and his wife Theresa, Lorry and his wife Annie, her sisters Mary widow to Arthur, Hilda and her husband Lolly, her brother-in-law Willie and his wife May, her relatives and many friends she loved and was so loved by. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 2 p.m. for Tal-Ibrag parish church where Mass praesente cadavere  will be said at 2.30 p.m. followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siggiewi, will be appreciated.  The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at the emergency ward Mater Dei and carers and staff at Holy Family Home, Naxxar. Lord of the Divine Mercy embrace her in Your Resurrection and Perfect Love and we pray You console our hearts with Your Peace.

Fireworks course

The Kirkop local council is organising a course for fireworks enthusiasts, starting tomorrow, which is open to all those interested in learning chemistry, health and safety and the laws related to fireworks.

The lessons are two hours long, starting at 7 p.m. every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, at the Kirkop social centre. Those interested can call 2168 0099 or e-mail kirkop.lc@gov.mt.
