ANASTASI. On October 4, MAUD, née Carabot, widow of Judge John Anastasi, aged 85. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Adriana and her husband Perry Spiteri Paris, Alfred and his wife Anna, Francesca, Luciano and his wife Roberta, her grandchildren Julia and Dan, Kris, Robert and Jessica, Michela, Tina, Niki, Rebecca, Alexia, Francesca, John, Carla and her great-grandchild Sebastian, her sisters Yole and Charles Taliana, Emily and Dr Stanley Zammit, Lina Carabot, widow of her brother Edgar, other relatives and friends. Mass præsente cadavere will be said tomorrow at 9.30 a.m  at Stella Maris parish church, Sliema, followed by interment in the family grave at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Puttinu Cares Children’s Cancer Support Group, Rainbow Ward, Mater Dei Hospital, would be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

So sadly missed but never forgotten by his wife Louise, his children Nicholas and Jacqui, Melanie and Anthony, Jonathan and Elizabeth, and grandchildren Tara, Jamie, Debbie, Matthew and Christopher. Today’s 7 p.m. Mass at Jesus of Nazareth parish church, Sliema, will be offered for the repose of his soul.

Sports marathon

A 50-hour sports marathon will be held between 6.30 p.m. on Friday and 8.30 p.m. on Sunday at Corradino Sports Pavillion in aid of Inspire. Those interested in taking part can contact Inspire on 2189 0000. Participation is €10 per person.
