Obituary
VELLA. On February 16, TERESA, née Conti of Fontana, aged 87, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband Ġużepp, her sons Joe and his wife Jane, Paul and his wife Frances, her daughters Doris and her husband Robin, Carmen and her husband Joseph, Marie and her husband Nick, Frances and her husband Gangu, Jessie and her husband Joe, Terry and her husband Frank, her grandchildren, her in-laws Stella and Pawla, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Gozo General Hospital today at 3.30 p.m. for the church of Pompei from where the cortège will proceed to the Sacred Heart parish church in Fontana where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 4 p.m., followed by interment in the parish grave at Santa Maria Cemetery in Victoria. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

MESSINA-FERRANTE. Remembering with affection our dearest sister JOAN (formerly of the Congregation of St Joseph of the Apparition), on the first anniversary of her death. MIFSUD. Today the 15th anniversary of the demise of our beloved father and grandfather MARCEL. How we wish you are still with us to enjoy your family and grandchildren. We miss you dearly and you are always in our hearts and prayers, never to be forgotten by your loved ones. A Mass will be celebrated tomorrow at 12 noon at the Salesian Oratory, Don Bosco Street, Sliema. Relatives and friends are very welcome. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
TABONE – MARLENE. Tomorrow the fifth anniversary of her departure to meet the Lord. Fondly remembered by her mother Rosaria, her brothers Anthony and his wife Carmen, Godwin, Ray and Kate, her sister Joyce and her husband Neville Mallia, nephews and nieces. A Mass for the repose of her soul will be said tomorrow at 10 a.m. at St Catherine’s Home chapel, Attard. May the Lord grant her eternal rest.
XUEREB – LEO. Loving and treasured memories of a dearest husband, father and grandfather, today the 10th anniversary of his passing away to eternal life. Deeply missed by Louise, Wayne and Ljuana, Ingrid, Christopher and Marija and Kurt and Morgan.

The mobile blood donation unit will be available for blood donation next to St Helen parish church, Birkirkara, tomorrow, from 8.30 a.m. till 1 p.m.
DLĦ meeting
The annual general meeting of Din l-Art Ħelwa will be held on February 25 at .m. at 133, Melita St, Valletta. Members are encouraged to attend.
US Embassy
The US Embassy will be closed on Monday to celebrate Presidents’ Day. It will resume normal business hours on Tuesday.
