OBITUARY

BEZZINA. On June 6, MARIO, ex-teacher St Claire’s College, Pembroke, aged 56, passed away at Mater Dei Hospital, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Carmen, his children Margareth and Samuel, his mother Dorothy, his brothers and sisters, in-laws and their families, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 2 p.m. for Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception parish church, Tal-Ibraġ, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m., followed by interment in the family grave atSt Nicholas Cemetery, Qrendi. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

CASSAR. On June 8, at Sir Paul Boffa Hospital, CARMEL of Mosta, aged 60, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Antoinette, née Tanti, his children Christian, Stephan and Marianne and their partners, his mother-in-law Maria, his sisters and brothers, Maria, Michael, Salvu and Catherine and their respective spouses, his in-laws Josephine, Salvu and MaryRose and their spouses, his nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 8 a.m. for Mosta parish church where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.30 a.m., followed by interment at Lija cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Hospice Malta, Balzan, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

PORTANIER. On April 29, in Peekskill, New York, KAREN, née Maldonado, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her great loss her husband Martin, her father Roy, her in-laws Joe and Helen of Kappara, her sister Sandra, in-laws, cousins, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. A memorial service to celebrate her life was held on May 5 in Yorktown Heights, New York. Karen’s final place of rest will be in the Portanier chapel at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

RODENAS. On June 7, at Mater Dei Hospital, SHARON of Swieqi, aged 17, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her father Robert, her mother Esmeralda, her grandparents, uncles and aunties, cousins, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on June 11 at 2 p.m. for Tal-Ibraġ parish church where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m., followed by interment in the family grave at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

SAID. On June 5, at Mater Dei Hospital, HILDA of Mosta, aged 72, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband Joseph, her children Joe and his partner Jackie, Helen and her husband John, Mari and her husband Sam, her grandchildren Lana, Amy, Claire, Martin, Mark and Justin, her sisters-in-law Katharin, Żarena and Polly, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on June 11 at 8 a.m. for St Mary’s parish church, Mosta, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.30 a.m., followed by interment in the family grave at the Santa Maria Addolorata cemetery. PULLICINO – MARIO. Today the 14th anniversary of his demise. Lovingly remembered by his wife Yvonne and his children Bernard, Edward and Mary Ann, grandchildren, relatives and friends. Lord grant him eternal rest.

STAFRACE – WILLIAM. Loving memories of my dear husband on the ninth anniversary of his death. His wife Carmen, sons Marcel, Pierre and Lucien, their respective wives, and grandson Marc Antony.

There will be power cuts in the following localities tomorrow:

Between 2.30 p.m. and 5.30 p.m. in Kav Lorenzo Zammit Haber and Sant’Elija streets, Xewkija.
