DELIA. On October 29, at St James Hospital, Żabbar, to Lorraine née Grech and Christian, God’s precious gift of a daughter – CARLA, a welcome sister to Sofia and George. Thanks to the obstetrician, midwives Anna Calleja and Anna Croucher and all the staff at the hospital.

BELLIZZI. On November 30, at the Monastery of the Sisters of the Poor Clares, St Julian’s, Sr MARIA IMMACOLATA, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss the Reverend Mother Abbess, Rose Therese, and the community of the Sisters of the Poor Clares, her brother Harry and his wife Isabella and their daughters Marie Claire and her husband Daniel Kaminski and their children Stefan, Francesca and Marie Isabelle, and Anna and her husband Mario Micallef, her sister Imelda, widow of Notary Joseph Vella Galea, and their daughter Maria, Nancy, widow of her brother Peter, and their son Fr Michael Bellizzi, Maria, widow of her brother Alfred and their son Pierre, other relatives and friends. The funeral Mass will be said today at 4pm at the Monastery of the Sisters of the Poor Clares, followed by interment in the monastery’s cemetery.
FRENDO RANDON. On November 28, at his home in St Julian’s, RENE, passed peacefully away after a short illness bravely borne, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his only sister Maria and her husband Henry Gatt, his beloved daughter Fabrizia and Frank, his stepchildren Bill and his wife Pam, Betsy and her husband Mike, Jessica and Mark, his grandchildren Sam, Alex, Lucas Rene, Aimee, Elizabeth, Peter, James, Julia and Oliver, his nephew Anthony and his wife Juliette and his many dearly loved relatives and friends in Malta and abroad. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Tuesday at 8.15am for St Julian’s parish church where Mass for the repose of his soul will be celebrated at 9am followed by interment in the family chapel at Santa Maria Addolorata cemetery (entrance from the upper gate). Donations to the Hospice Movement, Dar tal-Providenza and Fondazzjoni Ħajja Indipendenti will be appreciated.
GAFFIERO. On November 23, in Canada, SIMON (Sammy), aged 74. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Silvia, his children John, Samantha and George, their spouses and children, his brother Fr Anthony of Germany, his sister Josephine and family, his brother Carmel and family of Canada, his brother Tarcisio and family, Lilian, widow of his brother George, nephews, relatives and friends. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
GRECH. On November 29, ORESTE, went to meet the Risen Lord, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his sad loss his wife Violet, his children Mario and his wife Maria, Marisa and her husband Paul Camilleri, Isabel and her husband Paul Farrugia, his grandchildren Vanessa, Bernice, Claire, Andre, Francesca, Matthew and Erika, his great-grandchildren, his brother Alfred and his sister Julie, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves St Vincent de Paul residence today at 2.30pm for Santa Maria Addolorata cemetery chapel, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 3pm followed by interment in the family grave at the same cemetery.
WELLMAN. On November 28, at his residence, LEWIS, aged 70, from Tarxien. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Jane née Piscopo, his children Christine and Gunter, Anthony, Alison and Stephen, Sean and Alexia, Stephen and Elisa, his grandchildren, brothers and sisters and their spouses, in-laws, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Tuesday at 3pm for the Annunciation parish church, Tarxien, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 3.30pm followed by interment in the family vault at Tarxien cemetery. May God grand him eternal rest.
