FARRUGIA CASSANO. Suddenly, on March 22, JOE, former MUSEUM member, born in Vittoriosa, residing in Paola, aged 94. He leaves to mourn his irreparable loss, his wife Irma, née Pace, his daughter Nadine and her husband Karl Camilleri, his son Alastair, his beloved grandchildren Jan and Laura, his in-laws Winnie Pace and Richard Bonello, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Monday, March 28 at 7.45am for Christ the King parish church, Paola, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.30am, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, or the Multiple Sclerosis Society, PO Box 63, Birkirkara BKR1000, will be appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

GHIO. With regret we announce the death of LAWRENCE of Fgura, who passed away peacefully at Mater Dei Hospital on March 24, aged 79. He will always be loved and remembered by his wife Doris and his daughter Michelle, his brother John and his sister Ann Gatt, his in-laws Margaret and Paul Camilleri, Paul and Veronica Sultana, Charles, widower of Marlene Demicoli, John and his wife Rosalie Sultana, their respective families, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. Funeral Mass præsente cadavere will be said on Monday, March 28 at 8.30am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel parish church, Fgura, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. The family would appreciate that instead of flowers, donations in his name be sent to Puttinu Cares Children’s Cancer Support Group, Rainbow Ward, Mater Dei Hospital. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

HARTLAND. On March 17, at his residence in Marsaxlokk, MICHAEL of Shifnal, Shropshire, UK, aged 65, went to meet the Risen Lord comforted by the rites of Holy Church. Greatly missed by his wife Sina, his daughter Michelle and her husband Alex, and his beloved grandchildren Emily and Bethany. He will be missed by his sister Sonya and her husband Tim, his wife’s brothers and sisters and their families, other relatives and many friends in Malta and in the UK. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital on March 29 at 1.45pm for Marsaxlokk parish church where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2.30pm, followed by interment at San Girgor Cemetery, Żejtun. Donations to the Ursuline Sisters, Guardamangia, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

Missing sister

Mrs Laura Thompson, née Ireson, aged 100, born 1915, Wolverhampton, UK, also lived in India before returning to live in Exeter. She is believed to be living in a hotel in Malta.
