Harpsichordist Bridget Cunningham inaugurated a newly-acquired model of the prestigious Antunes 1785 harp-sichord at a concert held ina packed St George’s Basilica in Victoria to mark the opening of the 14th edition of the Victoria International ArtsFestival.

The acquisition of the harpsichord was made possible through funding by the Gozo Ministry’s scheme for NGOprojects within the Eco-Gozo vision.

Attending the concert were, among others, Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi, Gozo Bishop Mario Grech, Gozo Minister Giovanna Debono and Victoria mayor Samuel Azzopardi.

The festival runs until July 11, with daily concerts starting at 8 p.m.
