Franciscan friars celebrated the feast of their patron saint’s stigmata with an animal blessing ceremony on the friary’s doorstep at Villambrosa Street, Ħamrun. Fr Anton Farrugia, the guardian, blessed animals and even plants that people brought along. The event was sponsored by the local council, which provided registration trophies.
