Established in 1976 by Philip Attard, Attrans Limited is today a leading transport company on the island. Now in its second generation and led by Philip Attard Jnr., Attrans prides itself in offering a wide range of services to various clients.

Attrans’ current fleet is uniquely made up of Volvo tractor units and over 300 trailers, diversifying in different types of vehicles and trailers depending on the service customers require. Attrans believes that it is through the continuous investment in its fleet that the company is one step ahead of the competition. It is for this reason that Attrans has again expanded its fleet.

Since January, all new heavy trucks are required to abide by the new and stricter emission requirements brought forward by the EU. The model Attrans chose is the new Volvo FH Euro 6 truck, which apart from being an attractive model, uses Volvo’s market leading diesel technology. The newly designed Volvo FH truck boasts a powerful 460 HP engine which, despite offering higher torque, a more powerful engine brake and quieter operation, doesn’t increase emissions or influence fuel efficiency.

Attrans has acquired 16 of these trucks, which will be strategically placed at the company’s depots throughout Europe, Morocco and Tunisia. The company’s main objective is to serve its customers efficiently and effectively seven days a week, 365 days a year.
