I refer to the letter by Eunice Cassar Camilleri (July 4).
Although I don’t live in Valletta, I found the city cabs very useful for us senior citizens to get around and they would have been a bigger asset if they ran till at least 11 p.m. Now, the city cabs no longer exist. This is stopping most senior citizens attending the theatres, many interesting programmes at the cultural centres, cinemas, restaurants, etc.
If we want to attend anything we are forced to hire a taxi. This is expensive, especially when one is a senior citizen and living on a pension.
