The fifth edition of the Gozo Ceramics Festival is being held tomorrow in Xlendi.

The event will offer multiple exhibits, live music and an area for children to get their hands dirty. Happening in parallel to the event will be an exhibition of Paul Haber’s work at the Ċittadella ruins and Vincent Camilleri’s The Burning Bush at Mużew Dar Karmni Grima.

The festival is hosted by Alka Ceramics, which was set up by ceramic artist and graduate Joan Haber in 1980. In the beginning all products made were exported to the US until production grew to also supply the local market. Alka has received a number of awards throughout the years such as the America Award, a gold medal in Osaka Japan and Ġieħ L-Artiġġjanat for teaching. Its managing director, Joan Haber, was also awarded Business Woman of the Year by NWB.

The festival is also supported by the Gozo Culture Centre within the Ministry for Gozo and the Munxar local council.

The festival will take place tomorrow at Xlendi Bay from 7.30pm onwards. Entrance is free. For more information, visit www.facebook.com/events/1882349328753494/.
