Milan will begin the defence of their Serie A title away to Cagliari, it was announced last night.
The Serie A fixtures were announced in staggered fashion on live television in Italy, with Milan, Roma and Juventus all beginning away from home.
Roma travel to Bologna while Juve are at Udinese, meaning they must wait until the second weekend of the season to open their new stadium at home to Parma.
On the opening weekend, Inter host Lecce while Lazio face Chievo. Napoli take on Genoa.
The games will be played on the weekend of August 27 and 28.
Milan’s first home game will be against Lazio a week later. The first Rome derby is on October 16 with Lazio the home team.
The opening Milanese derby will be in the 18th round of fixtures on January 15 with the Rossoneri the home team, and the reverse fixture will be just one week from the end of the season on May 6.
