Now that summer’s here and it is becoming hotter, could I make a plea on behalf of our foreign construction workers and also those cleaning our streets?

Would it not be nice if we keep some cold bottles of water in our freezer and when you spot one of them in the street you offer it to him?

The appreciation and blessings you usually receive far outweigh your little kindness.

These young lads are here on their own - without their caring mums -   trying to make a better life for themselves and their families abroad.

Some occasional tips would also help them save more. After all, we Maltese always like helping the missions, it’s just that now some of them are right on our doorstep.
