The child’s perspective on bullying is the focus of the first national conference on children’s wellbeing to be held on Friday at Verdala Palace, Buskett.

The one-day conference is being held by the President’s Foundation for the Wellbeing of Society, in collaboration with the University of Malta’s Centre for Resilience and Socio-Emotional Health.

It will bring together international experts on the issue of bullying to share current research on this issue, mainly targeted towards professionals working directly with children.

The conference will also set an example of good practice by mainstreaming child participation, and innovatively eliciting their perspectives on this complex phenomenon.

Discussions will focus on what constitutes bullying and responses that are effective from a child’s perspective.

Seats are limited and available on a first come, first served basis. The conference fee is €30.
