A woman in her mid-30s found dead at the bottom of Dingli Cliffs on Saturday was identified yesterday after the police sought public help.

The woman, whom the police did not name, was last seen leaving Mount Carmel Hospital, where it is believed she worked, on Friday.

Her body was spotted by a fishing boat at about 10am on Saturday. It was later retrieved by the AFM and taken to Mater Dei Hospital.

No external signs of violence were reportedly seen on the body and a post-mortem examination is scheduled to be held today.

About two hours after releasing an image of the woman’s face, the police said she had been identified.
