The third edition of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Malta culminated in a grand finale with the Malta Fashion Awards on Saturday night.

New and established designers showcased their collections to more than 4,000 fashionistas filling the MFCC in Ta’ Qali.

The winners in the various categories were announced during a fast-moving evening, sponsored by Vodafone RED and Diet Coke, which also saw fashion and stage shows.

In the main awards, Annalise Azzopardi picked up the Hairstylist Award and Mateja Camilleri was top Make-up Artist.

Gaby Curmi won Best Female Model while Karl Bonnici was awarded Best Male Model.

The top Female Photo Model was Valentina Rossi and corresponding Male Photo Model was Robert Galea.

Bernard Polidano picked up Best Fashion Photographer.

Barbara Buttigieg won the Nail Technician Award while Caroline Paris bagged the Fashion Stylist Award.

A palette of golds, whites and pastels marked the collection presented by Charles and Ron, while geometric patterned pieces characterised Nigerian designer House of Jola.

Dancers in body paint also performed in a show by make-up artist Justin Brincat.
