• A celebration of the World Day of Prayer by Catholic Women will be held at the Catholic Action Centre in Sir Arturo Mercieca Street, Victoria, on Thursday. Gozo Bishop Mario Grech will celebrate Mass at 9 a.m., followed by personal esperiences and a short discussion on this year’s theme ‘Let us witness’.

• A barbecue in aid of the St George museum project will be held at St George’s Square on Friday at 8.30 p.m. Tickets at €15 each are available from Fondazzjoni Belt Victoria members, the parish centre, Kafe’ San Ġorġ, Grapes Wine Bar, Vajringa Supermarket and Ta’ Salvina Discount Store in Victoria.

• The Victoria Scout Group will be organising a food and wine evening at Fort Chambray on Saturday at 8 p.m. The San Bert Folk Group will take part.
