Princess Juliana International Airport, on the Caribbean island of St Maarten, is the latest airport to choose Shireburn’s Concessionaire Analyzer+ software solution to manage its non-aeronautical revenues.

It will also be utilising the contract management, revenue calculation and billing automation functions of the software.

The airport handles 1.6 million passengers a year and is known for the proximity of the runway to the beach – creating dramatic pictures like the one above.

Emcare introduces SOS phone

Emcare has launched an easy-to-use mobile phone for subscribers to its monitoring services. In case of an emergency, the user can just press the SOS button on the back of the phone and get immediate help. This service extends to anywhere in Malta, Gozo and the rest of Europe. The phone can also be controlled by the next of kin from a website, who will not only be contacted by emCare in case of an emergency, but who can know the exact pin-point GPS location of the phone user.

Emcare is a partnership between Vassallo Group’s elderly care operation, CareMalta and 6PM. Emcare, along with Go, is also the sole provider of the government-subsidised TelecarePlus service for the Maltese islands.
