I had the misfortune to travel from London Gatwick to Luqa on an Air Malta flight. My luggage was damaged beyond repair. This I reported to Air Malta when I collected it from the carousel on arrival.

After making a lot of fuss, they finally agreed to write a damage report. Then they overstamped it with “for insurance claims only”. This, apparently, absolves Air Malta of all responsibility.
