It is called a skew arch bridge and is one of the best of the few such constructions in Malta. It goes across Qormi Valley, where the road of the Pavi Supermarket meets the valley (Lowenbrau end) across the road.
At the other end of the tunnel, the arches were broken into to pass a water pipe, which is at the upstream end of the tunnel.
One can notice that most of the grouting between the stones has been washed away.
In my humble opinion, parts of this arch are in danger of falling.
It would be a good idea to raise awareness about it and its state, so that maybe the Malta Environment and Planning Authority or Heritage Malta would do something about it.
