Deloitte Malta recently launched an initiative entitled ‘Directors’ Series’, which aims to provide company directors and those charged with governance with the opportunity to stay informed in a time of frequent change and growing demands.

As part of the initiative, Deloitte Malta will be holding a forum discussion entitled ‘Audit committes in a rapidly evolving landscape’. This event should be of interest to directors and audit committee members of public interest entities and members of those companies wishing to enhance their corporate governance structure.

During the event, Deloitte will also be sharing the results of a recently conducted survey regarding audit committees in Malta. Local and foreign speakers will address this event.

This Directors’ Series event will take place at the Westin Dragonara Resort, St Julian’s, on May 10 from 9am to 1pm, followed by a networking lunch. Attendance is by registration only. To secure your place, register at www.deloitte.com/mt/dseries. The cost of this event is €75 and will include the networking lunch.

Deloitte Malta CEO Malcolm Booker said: “There is an underlying tension for audit committees which is between traditional items on the audit committee’s agenda and the more dynamic, broadening set of risks affecting the company. The first event in the Deloitte Directors’ Series will be discussing how this broadening set of risks is shaping the corporate landscape, affects the work of the audit committee, and the new actions audit committees need to take in response to these risks.”
