When I wrote about my German friend (The Sunday Times, October 14) who took two hours to get from St. Julian’s to Birkirkara with an Arriva bus, I had thought that this was a one off incident.

However I now have reason to believe that this is a regular occurrence and that route 202 at 8.20 am from Pembroke has been discontinued.

On October 12 I tried the same experiment with another student. This time she went to the same bus stop at 8am to make sure to be in time for the 202 bus.

The same thing happened and she arrived at Birkirkara at 10.18am – her journey took two hours and 18 minutes.

Thank you Arriva and whoever decided to lump us with this disgraceful service. We sure deserve much better.
