A Spanish woman who imported 10 grams of cannabis resin avoided jail yesterday .

Africa Paya Sanchis, 26, of Gżira, admitted the single charge on Monday. Police Inspector Nikolai Sant told Magistrate Francesco Depasquale it was for personal use.

The magistrate sentenced her to six months in jail, suspended for one year.
