An exhibition of paintings by Tony Bartolo is open until May 27 at Razzett tal-Markiż Mallia Tabone, Mosta.

Bartolo, 71, has had a long career both as an artist and a musician. Born in Mġarr, his artistic career started at the age of 13 when he was inspired by visiting artists from various theatrical companies who used to paint  backdrops for the plays they produced in Malta.

His musical career started at the age of 17. He was a drummer and singer with the Maltese group the Malta Bums, which recorded popular Maltese songs such as Viva Malta and Ġej il-Milied. He still works as a solo singer and recording artist and is still pursuing his studies in art.

Tony Bartolo’s art exhibition, organised by Għaqda Filantropika Talent Mosti, is open until May 27 at Razzett tal-Markiż Mallia Tabone, Wied il-Għasel Street, Mosta, from Monday to Saturday between 6 and 8pm, and on Sundays from 10am to noon and 6 to 8pm.
