We, who live in Triq it-Tarzna, Tarxien had our electricity cut twice last week – on July 10 from 5.30 to 9 p.m. and on the 11th from 2.30 to 5 or 6 p.m. However, six families made up of elderly sick people were preferred by Enemalta because their supply was cut from 2.30 p.m. on the 11th to the early hours of the 12th.

These six families were left a whole night in their homes without electricity, where I calculate the temperature inside was between 24 and 28°C if not more.

When we contacted Enemalta at about 9.30 p.m. we were told they had a number of faults. However, why did all homes in our street have their electricity back by 5 or 6 p.m. and only these six homes were left without it through the whole hot night?

I presume that if they had faults the whole street or at least half of it would be without electricity and not just six homes. I am not an engineer but we would be grateful if someone would give us an explanation for this discrepancy.
