I would like to express my sense of appreciation bordering on joy for the fact that, this year, I could not hear a great amount of fireworks for the feast of St George in Victoria.
I have to be honest and declare that I never really believed in the need of such methods to celebrate a Christian feast.
The fact that the feast was still a success without too many fireworks demonstrates that, as Christians, we can still celebrate without having to spend too much energy on something that is so fleeting and momentary.
I must also take this opportunity to congratulate Fr Richard Farrugia for the powerful and arousing reflection that he made during the Pontifical Mass that was held on Sunday morning.
