• A bazaar is being held in aid of Stella Maris parish centre at 49, Cathedral Street, Sliema. Open on Wednesday and Thursday from 9.30 a.m. onwards.
• A day-long adoration to pray for vocations to the priesthood and religious life will be held at the Archbishop’s Seminary on Thursday starting with Mass at 9.30 a.m., followed by adoration. Seminarians join at 6.30 p.m. and Mass at 7.15 p.m. concludes the day. All are welcome to attend.
• To mark seven years since Malta joined the EU, the Malta-EU Steering and Action Committee is organising a public lecture by Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi at the Aula Magna of the University’s Valletta campus on Friday from 5.30 to 7 p.m. The talk will be in Maltese but simultaneous translation into English will be provided. • A country night and kebab buffet is being organised by the Kummissjoni Armar, Queen Victoria band club, Żurrieq, on Friday from 7.30 p.m. onwards at Torri tal-Kaptan, Qrendi. • The Richmond Foundation will be holding a fundraising bazaar on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Villa Chelsea, Old Church Street, Birkirkara.
• Caritas Co-operators are organising a day at the Ramla Bay Hotel and Resort on June 8. The day starts with a welcome coffee at 10.30 a.m., followed by a talk at 11 and Mass at noon. A buffet lunch will be held at 1 p.m. Cards or any other game may be played in the afternoon. Transport will be provided.
