3D Distributions, which has been distributing promotional and informative mail across the country for the past 15 years, will be distributing free tree seeds to every household.
Around 300,000 Pinus Halepensis (Znuber pine trees) seeds will be distributed door to door in the coming days.
The campaign is largely supported by Piscopo Gardens, which collected over 250,000 seeds and is committed to assisting the public in the planting of the seeds.
The Resources and Rural Affairs Ministry will be donating the remaining seeds to ensure the whole population receives them.
The public is encouraged to plant the seeds or pass them on to others who can do so in order to make a real difference to the environment.
3D recently launched its ‘Environment First’ campaign. It embarked on a full-scale locality updating exercise, identifying tens of thousands of vacant properties. This has enabled 3D to reduce the number of flyers, brochures and magazines supplied by its clients for distribution by limiting them only to occupied premises.
3D’s efforts to ensure that its distribution coverage excludes vacant properties will result in the conservation of printing materials, especially paper.
