The General Workers’ Union is threatening industrial action at the Marsa slaughterhouse and the St Vincent de Paul Residence, Mount Carmel and Gozo General Hospital kitchens if a working conditions deal is not signed by Tuesday.

Butchers and chefs will get more information if the agreement – reached in July – is delayed.

The union said the Public Administration Human Resources Unit and the Public Administration Collective Bargaining Unit showed a lack of enthusiasm.
