People are advised to fasten their water tank lids and keep away from the rough sea as the island is expected to experience strong gusts over the weekend. The wind is forecast to reach gale force eight by Saturday morning but gradually diminish in strength during the day. Although the wind should not be cause for alarm, people should be wary of tree branches, keep all doors and windows closed to avoid injuries and be extra careful if they have to carry out work from a height.
