EHF delegate, Alan Grima is currently on assignment at the Women’s U-19 European Championship which is being played in The Netherlands.

The tournament started last week and is being hosted in five different cities: Leek, Arnhem, Almelo, Maastricht and Rotterdam. Competition is now in its main round.

So far, Grima was appointed as match supervisor in four Group D matches from the preliminary round, namely, Germany-Serbia (21-16); Serbia-France (33-31); France-Germany (26-13) and Sweden-Serbia (26-27).

Up to now the tournament not only produced highly-entertaining and top level handball but also some surprising results.

In fact, Norway, Hungary and Russia, the first three teams in the previous championship, were the victims of the qualifying round and are out of the reckoning for a top-eight place this time.

Grima will be in Maastricht for the main round Group Two which include Croatia, Denmark, Sweden and Serbia.

The tournament will come to an end on Sunday with the final match being played at the TopSport Centrum in Rotterdam.
