International tenor Joseph Calleja has joined local band Winter Moods on their latest hit ballad, Miss You.

The song recently topped Maltese charts for five weeks. The special version with Joseph Calleja can now be listened on www.wintermoods.net and on local radio stations.

“We are delighted and honoured to collaborate with Joseph on a song, especially on a ballad like Miss You,” said Ivan Grech, Winter Moods’ frontman.

“Joseph’s unique voice takes the song to a whole new level, and we are certain that our followers, who have already fallen in love with Miss You, will also appreciate this new version.”

Joseph Calleja is currently performing the part of Rodolfo in Puccini’s La Bohème at London’s Royal Opera House in Covent Garden.

He said: “It is a real pleasure to record a song with Winter Moods. Their music has inspired the Maltese music scene in recent years.

“I enjoyed performing their hit song Marigold in my concert at Luxol Grounds in 2009, and am really happy with our new collaboration... there is something special about Miss You.”

Winter Moods will be performing live at the Beland Music Festival in Żejtun on Saturday.
