In my humble opinion, Michelle Muscat’s speech on Women’s Day missed the mark by a mile.

Blaming religious beliefs was also out of context and unnecessary and makes one wonder what the agenda behind this could be.

She said that women should not feel guilty or be blamed for deciding to work. Should they be blamed for staying at home?

This could have indeed been a good speech if only more sensitivity had been exercised.
