With effect from January 1, Dr Karl Briffa was admitted as a Partner of GVZH Advocates, joining the other five partners of the firm, namely Dr Andrew Zammit, Dr Joseph Vella, Dr Albert Grech, Dr George Hyzler and Dr Michael Grech.

Dr Briffa, who joined the firm as an Associate in 2008, mainly practises in property and conveyancing law, industrial and employment law, general civil and commercial law and litigation. He will be co-heading the firm’s civil and commercial practice.

Dr Briffa graduated from the University of Malta in 2003 and was called to the Bar in 2004. In that year he also completed his Magister Juris in European and Comparative Law with distinction from the University of Malta. He is a member of the Council of the Chamber of Advocates and is a founding member of the Malta Employment Lawyers’ Association. Dr Briffa is also current chairman of the JAYE Malta Foundation.

Dr Zammit, Managing Partner of GVZH Advocates, said: “We are delighted to admit Karl as a Partner – a position he has certainly earned himself through hard work, commitment and dedication.
